OCCAM at Future of Aquaculture 2026

ZUT presented OCCAM work twice at the Future of Aquaculture conference in Poland…

In June, our colleagues from West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin (ZUT) presented twice at this year’s Future of Aquaculture conference (Przyszłość Akwakultury, 16 to 18 June 2026), in front of around 150 participants from industry, research, and public authorities.

  • Session II: Piotr Eljasik presented Characteristics of the aquaculture sector in Asian countries, introducing OCCAM Solution 1A, our water availability self-assessment tool, as a response to growing water scarcity pressures facing pond-based aquaculture in Poland.
  • Session IV: Remigiusz Panicz presented Alternative feed ingredients and production indicators, exploring climate change impacts on the feed supply chain, and serving as a general introduction to the OCCAM project.

The event also provided an opportunity to strengthen links with fellow EU-funded projects SAFE (SmartAqua4FuturE) and BLUEBOOST.
